Update from the Novato Institute Teaching Team

The Novato Institute teaching team: Eleanor Criswell Hanna, Phil Shenk, Susan Koenig, and junior teacher Lyman Spencer, continue to teach regularly, six times per year: Jan, Feb, Mar, and June, July, Aug. The HSE Professional Certification Training Program has been teaching in the modular system for several years now. There are 6, nine-day Modules per complete Training. The student comes twice a year, winter and summer, for about 3 years. It's amazing how fast time flies. We have three simultaneous "waves" going at all times. Each year we both start a new wave and end another.
We draw students from all over the world and currently have our first student from India (born and lives in India), even though we have at least a couple of European graduates who live almost full time in India. Many countries are represented among our graduates: the US, Canada, Mexico, England, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, Slovenia, Kazakhstan (Soviet Union), Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and more.
We continue to refine our teaching styles, proficiency, clarity, and the ease with which we are able to convey the depth and richness of the material in the curriculum.
One huge improvement has been our use of computerized slide presentations (Mac's version of Power Point called Keynote). The first three modules cover the basic protocols including the head/neck. Modules 4, 5, and 6, include the extremities, jaw, and a review and enhancement of the head/neck material. Modules 4, 5, and 6 include our Student Clinic, which now often includes a "wait list," due to its popularity. Eleanor, with her depth of understanding of the brain and nervous system, continues to update and upgrade the neurophysiological information we include in Modules 3 through 6. Students are so excited and enthusiastic about this material! Modules 5 and 6 include information about working with complex somatics cases, such as Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Stroke, and more.
