Pandiculation: Stretching Without Stretching
Pandiculation describes the involuntary yawning / stretching we do when tired or waking up. It can also be done to voluntarily integrate and recalibrate the myofascial system. Pandiculation is one of the most basic tools we use to help clients to recover from sensory motor amnesia, so it's very important that we use this tool with understanding and skill. This talk explores the various aspects of pandiculation and how somatic educators use it to address chronic tension and musculoskeletal pain.
