SomaTimes Committee
The SomaTimes is our direct communication platform to our members and others interested in what we do. Come brainstorm and help generate interesting content from the field of somatics: book reviews, articles and interviews, case studies, and developments within the association. Editors needed as well. Contact the committee chair for more info.
Education Committee
The Education Committee plans the AHSE annual conventions. Join now to support the planning of the upcoming convention and other special events.
AHSE Learning Community
The Learning Community events are monthly educational presentations for the AHSE members. If you would like to participate in organizing presentations and presenters let us know.
Somatic Connections Committee
The Somatic Convection Committee meets as needed and exists to support our AHSE community in connecting with each other and those who have attended the Novato Institute, as well as fostering connections with like minded colleagues within the greater Somatic communities, and the general public. These connections create the inroads which make sharing our work, more accessible.
Website Committee
The Website Committee maintains and updates the AHSE website. If you are savvy with Squarespace and would like to volunteer, let us know.
Scholarship Committee
We seek ways to facilitate participation in AHSE activities or somatic training for those who encounter difficult circumstances.
Research Committee
The research committee is working on developing novel research projects to help understand the benefits of Hanna Somatic Education as well as the mechanisms of action. The committee meets irregularly but will meet more frequently during key phases of research projects. Gabriel is looking for volunteers interested in:
Brain Storming ideas, Emailing or calling potential research partners such as clinics, scientists and foundations & Editing and organizing data for publications and presentations.
Strategic Planning Committee
The Strategic Planning committee is involved in a variety of tasks to help the AHSE live up to its full potential. We help set long term and short term goals for the association. More importantly, this committee helps to organize and tackle the tasks required to achieve those goals. We are seeking volunteers to:
Be involved in the strategic conversations, think through the logistics of completing the AHSE’s goals, help with content creation for articles, posts, and videos, and see the big picture and all the small steps that will get us there.
